Word of the Day – Neurodiverse

In solidarity with autism awareness day Friday 2nd April (yes, I’m a day late to the party) the word of the day is neurodiverse.

The simplest way of defining neurodiverse is where there is a need to describe something that is not neurotypical. It is used to define behaviours, thought patterns, and characteristics that are present in neurodiverse conditions, such as autism.

Neurodiverse is an inclusive way of acknowledging and normalising brain differences, rather than those who posses neurodiversity feeling lesser than those who are neurotypical.
